1. The Texas Legislature should do everything to stamp out voter fraud, including requiring all voters to show photo ID at the polling place.

2. More doctors are relocating to Texas due to lower liability insurance premiums as a consequence of the tort reforms enacted in Texas over the last 12 years. Should these changes be maintained?

3. The Legislature has focused on eliminating frivolous lawsuits. Do you support these efforts?

4. The state should work to expand health insurance coverage for children.

5. Texas should make clear its intentions to reject any mandates or directives that it sees as overly restrictive or expensive owing to national legislation providing stimulus funding, imposing cap and trade on carbon emissions, or overhauling health care.

6. Our state should focus on expanding the number of major research universities.

7. The state should provide adequate funding for community colleges, such as Collin College.

8. Texas should do everything possible to eliminate contraband in prisons, including the jamming of cell phones that may be smuggled into a prison with technology which won’t adversely affect civilian phones outside the prison.

9. Citizens should be able to vote on whether or not to raise their own local taxes to provide funding for local transportation projects.

10. Toll roads are a proper tool to more quickly expand our local transportation infrastructure.

11. It is time for a constitutional amendment requiring ALL gas tax revenues to be used ONLY for transportation projects.

12. Texas should continue allowing 25% of gas tax revenues to be constitutionally dedicated to support primary and secondary public schools.

13. If the situation dictates, it would be proper to deploy state National Guard personnel to protect our southern border.

14. We should eliminate sanctuary cities where the immigration status of individuals is not checked.

15. The immigration status of all convicted felons in Texas should be checked

16. We should continue to elect judges in partisan elections.

17. Do you support giving Texans the chance to vote on whether or not to authorize a limited number of destination resort casinos in Texas?

18. Do you support bringing slot machines into Texas at racetracks or locations other than destination resort casinos?

19. Should we ban smoking in all businesses or other public places in Texas?

20. The Legislature may well face a budget shortfall in the next session. Do you believe the best thing to do at that stage is cut expenses?
